The game between the Philadelphia Revolution and Junior Bruins was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Philadelphia emerged with a 3-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Connor Bechtel secured the win for the Revolution with a goal in the third period.

The win gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Revolution were sparked by Bechtel, who tallied one goal. Bechtel scored 14:37 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Philadelphia.

In the losing effort, Junior Bruins was paced by Zach Koonce, who had two goals. Koonce scored the first of his two goals short handed at 16:18 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Junior Bruins was on a disadvantage when Robert Houghton went off the ice for slashing. Ryan OToole provided the assist. Koonce's next tally short handed made the score 2-1 Junior Bruins with 2:56 left in the second period.

Philadelphia excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

William Hayden also scored for Philadelphia. More assists for Philadelphia came via Anthony Carbone, who had one.

Junior Bruins stifled the Revolution's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Junior Bruins forced Philadelphia goalie Jared Burch to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Burch recorded 38 saves for the Revolution. Philadelphia incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Sam Dargene rejected 25 shots on goal for Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
