Glanbrook blows out Grimsby, 4-1Peach King Arena Fri, Mar 08, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Glanbrook Rangers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Grimsby Peach Kings. With the win, Glanbrook evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. Grimsby was stymied by the Rangers netminder Matt Sagrott, who stopped 31 shots during the victory. The solid play of Sagrott will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.4. Glanbrook was paced by Alexander Cappelletti, who registered one goal and one assist. Cappelletti scored 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Glanbrook. Joel Knight provided the assist. The Rangers stifled the Peach Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Glanbrook additionally got points from Curtis Edwards, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Connor McLoughlin also scored for Glanbrook. More assists for Glanbrook came via Roger Sherwood, who had one. Glanbrook was unable to stop Grimsby from sending pucks towards the net, and the Peach Kings eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Grimsby was led by Andrew Kolodzey, who scored the team's only goal. Kolodzey scored 10:49 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Glanbrook. Jordan McCarl picked up the assist. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jeremy Currie made 22 saves for the Peach Kings on 26 shots. Grimsby incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
