Luca's hat trick boosts Hartland Hounds over Bloomington Blaze, 9-2

Bloomington Blaze could not stop Hartland Hounds' Scott Luca, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-2 win.

Luca's first goal came 1:08 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:45 into the third and at 17:12 into the third.

The win by Hartland Hounds clinched the best of three series at 2-0.

Hartland Hounds pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 42 penalty minutes.

Bloomington Blaze was unable to stop Hartland Hounds from sending pucks towards the net, and Hartland Hounds eventually piled up 49 shots on goal. The defensemen of Hartland Hounds were also effective in Bloomington Blaze's zone, and came away with four goals.

Hartland Hounds additionally got points from Andre Spisak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Zachary Bodziak, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Paul Krystyniak, who also finished with two goals and two assists. Hartland Hounds also got a goal from Scott Augustyn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hartland Hounds were Zachary Parrott, who had two and Jordan Ruterbusch, Thomas Kerr, Cameron Miglia, Garrett Cebalt, and Collin Myers, who contributed one a piece.

Andrew Brownlee made 22 saves for Hartland Hounds on 24 shots. Hartland Hounds registered three goals on 11 power play opportunities. Gavin Carlson recorded 40 saves for Bloomington Blaze. Bloomington Blaze totaled 86 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors and two majors and went 1-for-6 on the power play. For Bloomington Blaze, Kyler Schmor and Patrick Anaruk were ejected from the contest.
