Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as BARRIE defeated WHITBY in a shootout 2-1 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout. WHITBY got a shootout goal from Krista Yip-Chuck. In addition to the clincher, BARRIE got a shootout goal from Chelsea Tucker.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, WHITBY faces elimination next time out.

BARRIE's Sarah Stephens was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 47 saves and let only one puck past him. Stephens certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.07 entering the contest.

In addition, BARRIE received assists from Alex Bond, who had one.

WHITBY forced BARRIE goalie Stephens to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.
