Raymond, Brampton blank Caledonia, 4-0Haldimand Center Fri, Mar 08, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Bryan Raymond was superb between the pipes for the Brampton Bombers, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Caledonia Corvairs. After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, Caledonia faces elimination next time out. Brampton pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 30 penalty minutes. The Bombers were led by Jacob Hanlon, who racked up one goal and one assist. Hanlon scored on the power play 44 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brampton. Eric DiCarlo assisted on the tally. Brampton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 12 Caledonia power plays. Brady Clouthier also scored for Brampton. Other players who recorded assists for Brampton were Josh Villaflor, Phil Caputo, and Michael Darrigo, who each chipped in one. The Corvairs kept the Bombers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Raymond made 31 saves on 31 shots. Brampton registered two goals on 10 power play opportunities. For the Bombers, Francois Cote was ejected from the game. Marcus DelConte made 25 saves for Caledonia on 28 shots. The Corvairs ended with 35 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major. Team's Jeff Swift and Tyler Norrie were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
