LONDON took the lead against WATERLOO in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory. Mariah-Leigh Fell provided LONDON with the game-winning tally when she scored 13:53 into the the first period. Clare McKellar assisted on the tally.After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, WATERLOO faces elimination next time out. Jessica Dodds spearheaded the defensive effort for LONDON, as she did not allow a puck past him and made 30 saves for the shutout. Dodds certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.2 entering the contest. LONDON was led by Fell, who racked up one goal. LONDON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three WATERLOO power plays. LONDON also got points from McKellar, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, LONDON received assists from Paige Horton and Stacie Vink, who contributed one a piece. WATERLOO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. LONDON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stephanie Sluys recorded 25 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
