Angiolella lifts Aurora over Lindsay, 6-3Lindsay Recreation Centre Sun, Mar 03, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aurora Tigers relied on the scoring touch of Robert Angiolella, who netted two goals, to beat the Lindsay Muskies, 6-3. Angiolella found the back of the net on the power play 7:58 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 6:07 into the third to make the score 4-3 Aurora.With the win, Aurora evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. The Tigers kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tanner Davis made 56 saves on 62 shots. Aurora also got points from Daniel Clairmont, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Matt Andreacchi, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Adam Moody also scored for Aurora. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Zack MacArthur, David Iacono, Kory Kennedy, Blake Forslund, Adam DiBrina, and Mihkel Poldma, who contributed one a piece. The Muskies' offense rang up 42 shots on Aurora's net. Lindsay was led by Dean Klomp, who had one goal and one assist. Klomp scored 4:07 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Lindsay. William Pelletier picked up the assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Patrick Thornton as well. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Vince Herlihey and Felix Chamberland, who each chipped in one. Kevin Entmaa made 39 saves for the Tigers on 42 shots. Aurora incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Muskies incurred 60 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
