Georgetown boosted by Wilson's play in net, beats Toronto Lakeshore 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Keegan Wilson helped the Georgetown Raiders defeat the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, 4-1.

The win by Georgetown broke a deadlock and gave the Raiders a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Georgetown was led by Robbie Murden, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Murden scored 13:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. David Miller provided the assist.

The Raiders forced Toronto Lakeshore's netminders to work without much rest, totaling 33 shots and forcing 29 saves. Joseph Pianta made 27 stops and Jake Danson made two. Georgetown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Georgetown additionally got points from Drake Hart, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Tyler McCarthy also scored for Georgetown. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Anthony Marra, who had two and Brendan Woods, Phil Kiss, and Jacob Bauchman, who contributed one a piece.

The Patriots forced the Raiders goalie Wilson to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Toronto Lakeshore was led by Tyler Currie, who scored the team's only goal. Currie scored 9:45 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kevin Shier picked up the assist.

Wilson rejected 35 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Patriots incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
