Feric's hat trick boosts Toronto Lakeshore over Georgetown, 5-1

Nathan Feric netted a hat trick to lead the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots over the Georgetown Raiders, 5-1.

Feric's first goal came 18:23 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:05 into the third and at 18:26 into the third.

With the win, Toronto Lakeshore evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Patriots' Joseph Pianta was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 31 saves and let only one puck past him. Pianta managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.08 prior to the game.

Toronto Lakeshore made Georgetown's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots and forcing 34 saves. Keegan Wilson made 11 stops and Gabe Grunwald made 23. The Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Raiders to score on any of their seven power plays.

Toronto Lakeshore additionally got points from Alex D Oliveira, who also registered one goal and one assist. Daniel Tedesco also scored for Toronto Lakeshore. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Doug Bonar, who had three and Tyler Currie and Mike Vallescuro, who each chipped in one.

Georgetown's offense rang up 32 shots on Toronto Lakeshore's net.

The Raiders were led by Santino Centorame, who scored the team's only goal. Centorame scored 6:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Lakeshore. David Miller provided the assist.

The Patriots incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Georgetown incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For the Raiders, Alex Adams was ejected from the game.
