MISSISSAUGA downs TORONTO in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

MISSISSAUGA pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over TORONTO on a clutch goal by Hayley Masters.

The win gave MISSISSAUGA a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Hilary Lloyd was all over the ice for MISSISSAUGA, as she had two goals in the win. Lloyd scored at 9:58 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 3:14 into the third to make the score 2-1 MISSISSAUGA.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Masters, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Kaitlin Doering, who had two and Nadine Edney, Mikaela Lowater, and Ainsley MacMillan, who contributed one a piece.

TORONTO was helped by Brooke Webster, who finished with one goal. Webster scored 2:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO. Audrey Potts provided the assist. Emma Korbs also scored for TORONTO. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Breanne Grant, who had one and Victoria Andreakos, who had two.

MISSISSAUGA's Alysia DaSilva stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that she faced. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Liberty McKague made 18 saves for TORONTO on 21 shots. TORONTO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
