Breanne Wilson-Bennett gave TORONTO a 3-2 (OT) victory over MISSISSAUGA when she scored 21 seconds into the extra period.

The win gave TORONTO a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

MISSISSAUGA's power play was ineffective against TORONTO's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

TORONTO was paced by Wilson-Bennett, who grabbed one goal.

TORONTO also got a goal from Audrey Potts as well. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Jessica Gazzola, Emma Greco, Victoria Andreakos, and Amanda Pantaleo, who contributed one a piece.

MISSISSAUGA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow TORONTO to score on any of its five power plays.

MISSISSAUGA was helped by Victoria Bach, who registered one goal. Bach scored 6:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Kelly Mariani picked up the assist. Kaitlin Doering also scored for MISSISSAUGA. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Stephanie Sucharda, Jillian Skinner, and Ainsley MacMillan, who each chipped in one.

TORONTO's Liberty McKague stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that she faced. TORONTO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Alysia DaSilva made 24 saves for MISSISSAUGA on 27 shots. MISSISSAUGA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
