Dorchester outlasts Lambeth, 4-2

The game between the Dorchester Dolphins and the Lambeth Lancers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Dorchester emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Matt Cormier at 17:20 of the third period.

The win by the Dolphins broke a deadlock and gave Dorchester a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Lambeth's power play was ineffective against the Dolphins' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Dorchester was led by Cormier, who finished with one goal.

The Dolphins stifled the Lancers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dorchester kept Lambeth's goalie busy throughout the game, and JP Trudell made 37 saves on 41 shots.

Dorchester also got points from Chad Brulotte, who also registered one goal and one assist. Connor McKay also scored for Dorchester. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Tyler Blue, Jacob Baribeau, Brendon O Shaughnessy, and Tommy Prokes, who each chipped in one.

The Lancers were helped by Conor Chilvers, who grabbed one goal. Chilvers scored 2:42 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Justin Clark provided the assist. Lambeth also got a goal from Tanner Smith as well. More assists for Lambeth came via Ryan Pennington and Nick North, who contributed one a piece.

Alex Hutcheson made 27 saves for the Dolphins on 29 shots. Dorchester incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lambeth incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
