Lambeth beats Dorchester 4-3 after comeback scare

The Dorchester Dolphins tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Lambeth Lancers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Mike Golinowski put Lambeth up 4-2 in the third period, but Dorchester pulled to within one on Connor McKay's tally 18:20 into the third period.

The win gave the Lancers a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Golinowski was all over the ice for Lambeth, as he tallied two goals in the win.

The Lancers stifled the Dolphins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Lambeth additionally got points from Brandon Robbins, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Conor Chilvers also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Warren Hargraves, who had three and Carter Allen, Justin Clark, and Riley Gilmore, who contributed one a piece.

Dorchester forced Lambeth goalie JP Trudell to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots.

The Dolphins were led by Jacob Baribeau, who had one goal and two assists. Baribeau scored 17:00 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lambeth. Chad Brulotte picked up the assist. Dorchester also got points from Brulotte, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Brendon O Shaughnessy, who had one and Bryan McCauley, who had two.

JP Trudell made 58 saves for the Lancers on 61 shots. Lambeth totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Patrick Maziarz rejected 24 shots on goal for Dorchester. The Dolphins incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
