Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter downs Mankato East/Loyola, 5-1

Brock Solomon grabbed one point to lead the Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over the Mankato East/Loyola Cougars.

The win gave Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Mankato East/Loyola was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter also got points from Brett Zallek, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Luke Regner, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter also got a goal from Austin Braun as well. In addition, Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter received assists from Ryan Hoehn and Sam Gerdts, who each chipped in two.

The Cougars were led by Brad Johnson, who scored the team's only goal. Johnson scored on the power play 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Grayson Gavin picked up the assist.

Chris Amsden rejected 20 shots on goal for the Bulldogs. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jeremia Merela recorded 33 saves for Mankato East/Loyola. The Cougars incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
