Lindstrom's big game bests Providence Academy in 11-1 Breck School win

Thomas Lindstrom had two goals and two assists to lead the Breck School Mustangs to an 11-1 victory over the Providence Academy Lions.

Lindstrom's tallies came at 9:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Breck School and short handed 10:45 into the second to make the score 6-0 Breck School.

The win gave Breck School a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Mustangs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Providence Academy power plays. Providence Academy was unable to stop Breck School from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mustangs eventually piled up 54 shots on goal.

Breck School additionally got points from Lucas McCormick, who also finished with two goals and one assist, David Husband, who also racked up two goals and two assists, Jack o'Connor, who also tallied one goal and four assists, and Matt Colford, who also grabbed two goals and three assists. Mark Sharp also scored for Breck School. Other players who recorded assists for Breck School were Andrew Keiser, Chase Ellingson, Ben Gleekel, Justin Paulson, and Parker Montgomery, who each chipped in one.

Breck School's defense shut down the Lions' forwards for much of the game, and Providence Academy got off only 13 shots during the contest. The Lions struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Mustangs to score two power play goals on three chances.

Henry Johnson made 12 saves for Breck School on 13 shots. The Mustangs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Providence Academy's Nick Pruden stopped 43 shots out of the 54 that he faced. The Lions incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
