Huge game by Kramer boosts Hermantown over Proctor, 10-0

The Hermantown Hawks were firing on all cylinders against the Proctor Rails, and when the final buzzer sounded Hawks emerged with a 10-0 win.

The win gave Hermantown a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Zach Kramer had one goal and three assists to lead the Hawks. Kramer scored 15:53 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hermantown. Jake Zeleznikar assisted on the tally.

Hermantown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Hawks' offense rang up 104 shots on Proctor's net.

Hermantown also got points from Bo Gronseth, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Nate Pionk, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Kori Ochs, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Jared Zeleznikar, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Scott Wasbotten, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Hermantown also had goals scored by Travis Koepke, who had two and Christian Wasbotten and Luke Jacques, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Hermantown were Joe Muehlbauer, who had one and Neal Pionk and Chris Benson, who each chipped in two.

Hermantown's defense shut down the Rails' forwards for much of the game, and Proctor got off only three shots during the contest.

Adam Smith rejected three shots on goal for the Hawks. Hermantown incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Isaac Scherber recorded 94 saves for the Rails. Proctor incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
