Huge game by Majerle boosts Little Falls over Morris/Benson Area, 5-1

The Little Falls Flyers' Luke Majerle had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Morris/Benson Area Storm.

Majerle found the back of the net 14:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Little Falls and again while 13:39 into the second to make the score 3-1 Little Falls.

The win gave Little Falls a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Little Falls also got points from Ben Newman, who also registered one goal and two assists. Little Falls also got a goal from Austin Bjorge as well. More assists for Little Falls came via Taylor Kottschade, Mark Anez, Thomas Miller, and August Maciej, who contributed one a piece.

Morris/Benson Area was led by Corey Storck, who scored the team's only goal. Storck scored 13:08 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Falls. Riley Blake provided the assist.

Michael Stumpf made 14 saves for the Flyers on 15 shots. Little Falls ended with no penalties and went 1-for-2 on the power play. The Storm's Kyle Kennedy stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Morris/Benson Area totaled seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and had no power play opportunities.
