John Sarafolean grabbed one point to lead the Mounds View Mustangs to a 4-1 victory over the North High Polars.

Mounds View put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow North High to score on any of its four power plays. By firing 31 shots on goal, the Mustangs exceeded the 0.1 shots they average per game this year.

Mounds View also got a goal from Andrew Bjorklund as well. In addition, Mounds View received assists from AJ Rupert, who had two, Jacob Tretsven, who had three, and Tucker Gran and Max Knutson, who each chipped in one.

The Polars' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Mounds View power plays.

North High was led by Justin Oliver, who scored the team's only goal. Oliver scored short handed 15 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Mounds View. Tyler Oliver provided the assist.

Mounds View's Alek Van Valkenburg stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Mustangs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mario Bollman made 27 saves for the Polars on 31 shots. North High incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
