The Lakeville North Panthers' Jack Diercks had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Farmington Tigers.

Diercks found the back of the net 11:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Farmington and again while four seconds into the third to make the score 3-2 Lakeville North.

The win gave Lakeville North a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Panthers forced Farmington goalie Gage Overby to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Lakeville North also got a goal from Jack Poehling as well. In addition, Lakeville North received assists from Erik Rutt and Jack McNeely, who each chipped in one.

Lakeville North's defense shut down the Tigers' forwards for much of the game, and Farmington got off only 11 shots during the contest.

The Tigers were helped by Jack Erickson, who registered one goal. Erickson scored 9:29 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Farmington. Grant Hauswirth also scored for Farmington.

Will Dupont rejected nine shots on goal for the Panthers. Lakeville North incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Overby recorded 39 saves for Farmington. The Tigers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
