Uxbridge downs Port Perry in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Steve Doutsis gave the Uxbridge Bruins a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Port Perry Mojacks when he scored 4:10 into the extra period.

The win gave Uxbridge a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Bruins were led by Doutsis, who registered one goal and one assist.

Uxbridge's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Port Perry power plays. Port Perry was unable to stop the Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Uxbridge eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Uxbridge also got points from Patrick Morgan, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Matthew Allen, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Joey Vocino also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Jarett Smith, who had two and Callum Lynch and Keegan Cairns, who contributed one a piece.

The Mojacks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Port Perry forced the Bruins goalie Brandon Francey to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

The Mojacks were led by Matt Paul, who had one goal and one assist. Paul scored 2:58 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brodie Meyers assisted on the tally. Port Perry also got a goal from Logan Evans as well. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Kyle Schweda, who had one.

Uxbridge's Francey stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced. The Bruins incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Jeff Julien recorded 28 saves for Port Perry. The Mojacks incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
