Mike Campeau lifted the Alliston Hornets to a 9-2 victory with a hat trick against the Penetang Kings. Campeau notched his first tally 10:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:33 into the first and at 12:56 into the second.The win by Alliston clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. The Hornets' penalty kill excelled, as Alliston gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. The Hornets forced Penetang's netminders to work in net, racking up 39 shots and forcing 30 saves. Adam Redgate made 14 stops and FREDERIK MALHOT-LANDRY made 16. Alliston stifled the Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Alliston also got points from Randy Cox, who also had two goals and three assists to lead the team in points and Brandon Alward, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Alliston also got a goal from Zack Byblow as well. More assists for Alliston came via Mark ODonnell, who had four, Cole Parker, Brett Banks, and Nic Archibald, who contributed one a piece, and Joe Cochrane and Drake Board, who each chipped in two. Brandon Frandsen also scored for Penetang. In addition, Penetang received assists from Nigel Labatte and Jordan Schwartz, who contributed one a piece. Tyler Brindle recorded 22 saves for the Hornets. Alliston incurred 48 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Hornets, David Leblanc was ejected from the game. Penetang incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. |
