Great Falls wins tough contest against Glacier, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Great Falls Americans escaped with a 4-2 victory over Glacier.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Dylan Garton at 4:52 of the third period.

Great Falls was paced by Garton, who grabbed one goal.

The Americans' offense rang up 37 shots on Glacier's net. The defensemen of Great Falls were also effective in Glacier's zone, and came away with two goals. The Americans could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Great Falls additionally got points from Daniil Kulikov, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Matt Douglas, who also had one goal and one assist. Great Falls also got a goal from Jake Bystrak as well. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Lucas Lomax, who had two and Doug Keller, Nate Bastian, and Brad Raucci, who contributed one a piece.

Glacier was relatively well disciplined in the game, receiving only nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. Glacier ended up below its season average of 33.0 penalty minutes per game.

Glacier was helped by Brandon Vitale, who registered one goal. Vitale scored on the power play 19:44 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Glacier had taken the advantage when Great Falls' Bastian got sent off for roughing. Sebastian Adnell provided the assist. Danny Roe also scored for Glacier. More assists for Glacier came via Kyle Watne, who had one.

Evan Hauser made 19 saves for the Americans on 21 shots. Great Falls registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. The Americans ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and John Bedbury was ejected from the game. Tyler Huberty rejected 33 shots on goal for Glacier. Glacier registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
