Small's hat trick boosts North Shore over Eveleth-Gilbert, 6-1Hoyt Lakes Arena Tue, Feb 05, 2013 Luke Small lifted North Shore to a 6-1 victory with a hat trick against the Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears. Small's first goal came 5:56 into the second period. He then added goals at 7:53 into the second and at 11:59 into the second.Eveleth-Gilbert was stymied by North Shore netminder Zach Duresky, who stopped 36 shots during the victory. The solid play of Duresky will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.73. North Shore's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Eveleth-Gilbert power plays. North Shore surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, North Shore averages 3.9 goals per contest. North Shore also got points from Lucas Kempffer, who also tallied one goal and one assist. North Shore also got a goal from Austyn Wasko as well. More assists for North Shore came via Tyler Schramm, who had two, Mills Johnson, who had four, and Gunnar Kempfert and Kory Buckman, who contributed one a piece.
