Liam Gillooly grabbed one point to lead the Dorchester Dolphins to a 5-1 victory over the Port Stanley Sailors.

The win gave Dorchester a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Dolphins put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Port Stanley to score on any of its four power plays. Dorchester forced the Sailors goalie Brandon Garner to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Shayne Rhyno also scored for Dorchester. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Brendon O Shaughnessy, who had two and Jordan Fuller, Chris Buckholz, Connor Lovell, Brett Dzyngel, and Chad Brulotte, who contributed one a piece.

Port Stanley was led by Tyson Corkum, who scored the team's only goal. Corkum scored 10:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Stanley. Luke McGuire picked up the assist.

Alex Hutcheson recorded 18 saves for the Dolphins. Dorchester incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon Garner made 33 saves for the Sailors on 38 shots. Port Stanley incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
