Alliston downs Huntsville, 7-2

Nic Archibald registered one point to lead the Alliston Hornets to a 7-2 victory over the Huntsville Otters.

The win by Alliston clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Hornets stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Otters were unable to stop Alliston from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hornets eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Alliston also got points from Randy Cox, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Andre Lessard, who also had one goal and two assists, and Brandon Alward, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Alliston included Mark ODonnell, who had one and Joe Cochrane, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Alliston were Cole Parker, William Bradon, and Tanner Dockerty, who each chipped in one and Alex Daley and Mike Campeau, who contributed two a piece.

Alliston's Robbie Alsop stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Hornets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tye Greschuk made 40 saves for Huntsville on 47 shots. The Otters incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
