Derek Medeiros lifted the Hagersville Hawks to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against the Wellesley Applejacks. Medeiros' first goal came 19:20 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:43 into the third and at 14:19 into the third.Hagersville evened the best of seven series at 3-3 and forced a deciding game seven. The Hawks kept Wellesley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Heer made 40 saves on 45 shots. Hagersville additionally got points from Jesse Ross, who also registered one goal and one assist. Hagersville also got a goal from Hayden Baird as well. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Eric Drehmer, Kyle Phibbs, Nick Halliday, Mitch Green, and Nate Ferris, who each chipped in one. The Applejacks forced Hagersville goalie Matt Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Wellesley was helped by Devon Wagner, who tallied one goal and one assist. Wagner scored 12:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cody Tapsell provided the assist. Wellesley also got points from Tapsell, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Wellesley came via Shawn Fitzpatrick, who had two. Murphy recorded 33 saves for the Hawks. Hagersville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Applejacks totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Wellesley, Josh Herd was ejected from the game.
