Huge game by Robbins boosts Lambeth over Thamesford, 6-2

The Lambeth Lancers' Brandon Robbins had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-2 win over the Thamesford Trojans.

Robbins got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 13:06 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lambeth. Lambeth had gained a power play chance when Jeremy Denomme was whistled for interference. Mitch Furlonger picked up the assist. Robbins dished an assist on Ryan Pennington's goal that made the score 2-0 Lambeth at 12:28 into the first period. He added another helper on Pennington's goal that made the score 5-2 Lambeth at 15:44 into the third period.

The win by the Lancers clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Thamesford was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Lambeth was able to score four times while on the power play.

The Lancers kept the Trojans' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tynan Lauziere made 36 saves on 42 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Others who scored for Lambeth included Tanner Smith, who had one and Josh Bumpus, who had two. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Mike Golinowski, who had two and Nick West, Warren Hargraves, Justin Clark, and Conor Chilvers, who each chipped in one.

Thamesford was helped by Brent Kipfer, who tallied one goal. Kipfer scored on the power play 33 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Lambeth. The Trojans had taken the advantage when Lambeth's Pennington got sent off for high sticking. Dylan Salter assisted on the tally. Thamesford also got a goal from Beau Diloreto as well. Other players who recorded assists for Thamesford were Kyle Walker, who had one.

Logan Ferrington rejected 18 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Thamesford incurred 50 minutes in penalty time with 15 minors.
