The Thamesford Trojans was within striking distance after one period, but the Lambeth Lancers put the pedal down in the second en route to a 9-2 victory. The win gave Lambeth a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. Warren Hargraves was all over the ice for the Lancers, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Hargraves scored 12:06 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lambeth. Mike Golinowski assisted on the tally. Thamesford was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Lambeth was able to score four times while on the power play. The Lancers made Trojans' goaltenders to work in net, ripping 53 shots and forcing 44 saves. Tynan Lauziere made 27 stops and James Champagne made 17. Lambeth excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 10 chances. Lambeth additionally got points from Brandon Robbins, who also had one goal and one assist, Golinowski, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Mitch Furlonger, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Greg Douglas, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Lambeth also had goals scored by Riley Gilmore, who had one and Justin Clark, who had two. More assists for Lambeth came via Carter Allen, who had two, Tanner Smith, who had three, and Ryan Pennington, Kale Corbeth, Derek Courtney, and Conor Chilvers, who contributed one a piece. The Trojans kept the Lancers' goalie busy throughout the game, and JP Trudell made 29 saves on 31 shots. Thamesford was led by Kyle Walker, who had one goal. Walker scored 13:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Thamesford also got a goal from Alex Clemens as well. In addition, Thamesford received assists from Beau Diloreto and Dylan Black, who each chipped in one. Lambeth incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Trojans incurred 44 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors.
