The Mooretown Flags fell behind early, and the Belle River Canadiens kept piling on the points on the way to a 5-0 victory.
After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Mooretown faces elimination next time out. Mark Manchurek was all over the ice for Belle River, as he tallied two goals and three assists in the win. Manchurek scored the first of his two goals at 5:48 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Belle River. Branden Larocque picked up the assist. Manchurek's next tally made the score 4-0 Belle River with 4:58 left in the first period. Mike Ditty provided the assist. Zakk Olvin frustrated the Flags' offense all game, and stopped 31 shots en route to a shutout. Olvin managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 0.33 prior to the game. The Canadiens put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Mooretown to score on any of its four power plays. Belle River kept the Flags' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Johnson made 41 saves on 46 shots. Belle River also got 3 goals from Chris DiNatale as well. More assists for Belle River came via Guy Levesque, who had one. Mooretown's offense rang up 31 shots on the Canadiens' net.
Belle River totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 2-for-9 on the power play. The Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Aidan Wiebenga was ejected from the game. The Flags ended with 29 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. For Mooretown, Calab Harse and Andrew Sokol were ejected from the contest.
