Josh Rosettani had a standout game with 32 saves, and the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats beat the St. George Dukes 3-1. The win by Dunnville clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. St. George's power play was ineffective against the Jr. Mudcats' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Dunnville was led by Hayden Molen, who registered one goal. Molen scored 6:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dunnville. Mack Steele assisted on the tally. The Jr. Mudcats stifled the Dukes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dunnville also got a goal from Bret Golding as well. More assists for Dunnville came via Ryan Pilon, Landon Minor, and Luke Rowe, who contributed one a piece. St. George managed to hold Dunnville's power play largely in check, allowing only one goal while on the disadvantage. The Dukes forced the Jr. Mudcats goalie Rosettani to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. St. George was led by Matt Dychuck, who scored the team's only goal. Dychuck scored 6:20 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Nick Cole picked up the assist. Dunnville incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Jr. Mudcats ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Evan Huckalo was ejected from the game. Tyler Lewis made 24 saves for the Dukes on 27 shots. St. George incurred 46 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
