Luke Bierworth made 33 saves to complete the shutout and led the Mount Forest Patriots to a 4-0 win against the Wingham Ironmen.

The win by Mount Forest clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

The Patriots were led by Dean Nixon, who registered one goal. Nixon scored on the power play 37 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Mount Forest. Doug Ardis picked up the assist.

Mount Forest stifled Wingham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Mount Forest also got points from Dave Culliton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Trevor Hughson also scored for Mount Forest. More assists for Mount Forest came via Tyler McCracken, who had one and Ben Davis, who had three.

The Ironmen's offense rang up 33 shots on the Patriots' net.

Mount Forest incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Patriots ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cody Wright was ejected from the game. Wingham's Keegan Woodman stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Ironmen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
