The Mount Forest Patriots opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 4-0 over the Wingham Ironmen. With the win, Mount Forest evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. Luke Bierworth spearheaded the defensive effort for the Patriots, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 46 saves for the shutout. The solid play of Bierworth will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.7. Mount Forest was led by Trevor Hughson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hughson scored on the power play 2:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mount Forest. The Patriots earned a power play opportunity when Joey Terwoord was put in the box for tripping. Doug Costanzo provided the assist. Mount Forest stifled Wingham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Patriots forced the Ironmen goalie Keegan Woodman to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Others who scored for Mount Forest included Dylan Hoffman, who had two and Doug Ardis and Ben Davis, who scored one goal each. More assists for Mount Forest came via Matt Marshall, Cody Wright, and Dean Nixon, who each chipped in one. Wingham's offense rang up 46 shots on Mount Forest's net. The Patriots incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Keegan Woodman made 45 saves for the Ironmen on 49 shots. Wingham incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
