Omaha AAA 16U holds on for 4-2 win against Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U

Omaha AAA 16U survived a determined comeback attempt by Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U on the way to a 4-2 win.

Omaha AAA 16U took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U storm back on a Anthony Franks goal 16:51 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Christian Evers had a great game for Omaha AAA 16U, netting two goals. Evers' tallies came on the power play at 5:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Omaha AAA 16U and 14:56 into the second to make the score 3-1 Omaha AAA 16U.

Omaha AAA 16U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Omaha AAA 16U's offense rang up 38 shots on Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U's net. The defensemen of Omaha AAA 16U were also effective in Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U's zone, and came away with three goals.
