Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Wenatchee Wild 16U defeated Texas Tornado 16U in a shootout 3-2.

The two teams needed 16 turns to complete the shootout. Texas Tornado 16U's shootout goals were scored by Logan Berlof, Patric Fun, and John Hutcherson. In addition to the clincher, Wenatchee Wild 16U got shootout goals from Jakob Kranabetter, Jonah Pearson, and Andrew Lee.

Wenatchee Wild 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Texas Tornado 16U to score on any of its four power plays.

Wenatchee Wild 16U was helped by Ty Flynn, who registered one goal. Flynn scored 12:50 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wenatchee Wild 16U. Lee also scored for Wenatchee Wild 16U. More assists for Wenatchee Wild 16U came via Kranabetter and Duncan Cochrane, who contributed one a piece.

Texas Tornado 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Wenatchee Wild 16U power plays.

Texas Tornado 16U was helped by James Distefano, who finished with one goal. Distefano scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Benjamin Bledsoe picked up the assist.
