Texas Tornado 18U relied on the scoring touch of Austin Murray, who netted four goals, to beat Omaha AAA 18U, 4-1.

Murray got on the scoresheet 7:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:39 into the first, at 12:26 into the second, and at 40 seconds into the third.

Texas Tornado 18U was led by goalie Troy LoBue, who finished with 35 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of LoBue will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 6.47.

Texas Tornado 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Omaha AAA 18U to score on any of its five power plays. Texas Tornado 18U's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Texas Tornado 18U finished with 18 penalty minutes.
