New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U hangs on, beats Detroit Falcons 18U 2-1

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U beat Detroit Falcons 18U, 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Nikita Samoylov provided New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U with the game-winning tally when he scored 5:52 into the the first period. William Dovenero provided the assist.

Samoylov was all over the ice for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, as he finished with two goals in the win.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U was led by goalie Joseph Licata, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Licata will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.18 entering the contest.

Detroit Falcons 18U was unable to stop New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U from sending pucks towards the net, and New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.
