Phoenix Firebirds 18U tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Pursuit of Excellence 18U held on for a 5-3 victory. Pursuit of Excellence 18U took a 4-0 lead during the second period, only to have Phoenix Firebirds 18U storm back on a Justin Dungey goal 15:14 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Pursuit of Excellence 18U got the win with help from a great game by Jordan Kawaguchi, who had one goal and two assists.
