Detroit Falcons 16U squeaks by Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U, 4-2

Detroit Falcons 16U and Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Detroit Falcons 16U made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Lewis Parris's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Detroit Falcons 16U got the win behind a great game by Parris, who had two goals and one assist. Parris scored the first of his two goals at 7:18 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Detroit Falcons 16U. Ryan Emerson provided the assist. Parris' next tally made the score 3-2 Detroit Falcons 16U with 15:41 left in the second period. A slashing call on Justin Schebel put Detroit Falcons 16U on the penalty kill. Yanni Nanos picked up the assist.
