The Norfolk Rebels had trouble finding ways to stop the Ayr Centennials, which beat Rebels, 8-0. The win by Ayr clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. The Centennials got the win with help from a great game by Brandon Christopher, who had two goals and one assist. Christopher scored the first of his two goals at 1:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ayr. Adam Fisher picked up the assist. Christopher's next tally made the score 3-0 Ayr with 7:51 left in the second period. Ayr had gotten the advantage when Norfolk's Brayden Dickinson was sent off for head contact. Alex Richard assisted on the tally. The Centennials' penalty kill excelled, as Ayr gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. The Centennials stifled the Rebels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ayr's offense rang up 45 shots on Norfolk's net. Ayr also got points from Fisher, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Dustin Scheer, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Brett Gibson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Nathan Redford, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Ayr also got a goal from Andrew Richard as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ayr were Ben Poort, who had two and Hunter Moore, Nick Hirs, Jordan Pettitt, Mike Wilkins, and Alex Mutton, who each chipped in one. The Centennials' Lee Doherty stopped 21 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Ayr incurred 68 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Jason Miller rejected 37 shots on goal for the Rebels. Norfolk incurred 62 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
