A four-goal first period deficit cost the Norfolk Rebels, which could not recover and fell to the Ayr Centennials, 17-2. After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Norfolk faces elimination next time out. Nick Hirs had two goals and two assists to lead Ayr. Hirs scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:03 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ayr. The Centennials had gotten the advantage when the Rebels' Clayton Charot was sent off for hooking. Mike Wilkins assisted on the tally.
