Red Lake Falls falls apart in second, loses to Park Rapids, 5-0Red Lake Falls High School Mon, Jan 21, 2013 The Red Lake Falls Eagles allowed the Park Rapids Panthers to net three goals during the second period and fell, 5-0. Jamie Stewart was all over the ice for Park Rapids, as he tallied one goal and four assists in the win. Stewart scored 3:19 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Park Rapids. The Panthers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Park Rapids ended up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. The Panthers was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Park Rapids averages 2.9 goals allowed per game. The Panthers forced Red Lake Falls goalie Wyatt Casavan to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots. Park Rapids' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Park Rapids also had goals scored by Frank Moren, who had two and Luke Jaeger and Noah Macpherson, who each put in one. More assists for Park Rapids came via Ian Johnson, who had three.
