Foesch's hat trick boosts St. Francis over St.Louis Park, 4-0

Zach Foesch netted a hat trick to lead the St. Francis Saints over the St.Louis Park Orioles, 4-0.

Foesch got on the scoresheet 11:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:50 into the third and at 16:39 into the third.

Darion Hanson frustrated St.Louis Park's offense all game, and stopped 29 shots en route to a shutout. Hanson managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.81 prior to the game.

St. Francis put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Orioles to score on any of their four power plays. The Saints forced St.Louis Park goalie RYAN FROOM to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Brett Aldrich also scored for St. Francis. In addition, St. Francis received assists from Kyle Wagner, who had one and Cameron Kaehler, who had three.

The Orioles were held below their usual level of production. St.Louis Park puts an average of 2.1 pucks into the net per game. The Orioles put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.2 they average per game.

St. Francis totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. St.Louis Park's FROOM stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced. The Orioles ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
