Ferrington leads Lambeth to shutout victory over North Middlesex

The Lambeth Lancers used a sparkling performance by Logan Ferrington to take down the North Middlesex Stars, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Lambeth's 5-0 shutout victory.

The win by the Lancers clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Lambeth pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 48 penalty minutes.

The Lancers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 13 chances. Lambeth kept North Middlesex's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Foster made 47 saves on 52 shots.

The Lancers were helped by Matt Schurr, who registered one goal and one assist. Schurr scored 27 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Cody Wuytenburg picked up the assist. Lambeth also had goals scored by Mike Golinowski, who had one and Conor Chilvers, who had three. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Riley Gilmore, who had two and Carter Allen, Nick West, Brandon Robbins, and Greg Douglas, who contributed one a piece.

The defense for the Stars tightened up when they had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 15 Lambeth power plays.

Logan Ferrington made 28 saves for the Lancers on 28 shots. North Middlesex incurred 60 minutes in penalty time with 15 minors.
