Trudell leads Lambeth to shutout victory over North Middlesex

The Lambeth Lancers used a sparkling performance by JP Trudell to take down the North Middlesex Stars, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Lambeth's 3-0 shutout victory.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, North Middlesex faces elimination next time out.

Mike Golinowski was all over the ice for the Lancers, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Golinowski's tallies came on the power play at 1:18 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth and on the power play 17:37 into the third to make the score 3-0 Lambeth.

Lambeth put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Stars to score on any of their four power plays. The Lancers' offense rang up 46 shots on North Middlesex's net.

Lambeth also got a goal from Mitch Thomas as well. More assists for Lambeth came via Ryan Pennington, Kale Corbeth, Brandon Robbins, Cody Wuytenburg, Warren Hargraves, and Matt Schurr, who each chipped in one.

The Stars kept Lambeth's goalie busy throughout the game, and Trudell made 34 saves on 34 shots. North Middlesex struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Lancers to score two power play goals on three chances.

Lambeth incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alex Foster recorded 43 saves for the Stars. North Middlesex incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
