Lambeth takes care of North Middlesex early, wins 14-1

The Lambeth Lancers jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the North Middlesex Stars, 14-1.

The win gave Lambeth a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Mike Golinowski had one goal and three assists to lead the Lancers. Golinowski scored short handed 5:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Lambeth found itself down a man on Riley Gilmore's boarding. Warren Hargraves provided the assist.

The Lancers made Stars' netminders to work in net, finishing with 67 shots and forcing 53 saves. Alex Foster made 49 stops and Ryan Swartzentruber made four. Lambeth stifled North Middlesex's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Lambeth also got points from Cody Wuytenburg, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Conor Chilvers, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Mitch Thomas, who also tallied one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, Gilmore, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Matt Schurr, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Lambeth also had goals scored by Josh Bumpus, Derek Courtney, and Mitch Furlonger, who each put in one and Brandon Robbins and Justin Clark, who scored two goals each. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Carter Allen and Kyle Huston, who contributed one a piece.

Spencer Kading also scored for North Middlesex. More assists for North Middlesex came via Mack Graham and Tyson Patrick, who each chipped in one.

The Lancers' Logan Ferrington stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Lambeth incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
