The Lambeth Lancers jumped out to a five-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the North Middlesex Stars, 7-1. The win gave Lambeth a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Lancers' penalty kill excelled, as Lambeth gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Lancers were led by Brandon Robbins, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Robbins scored on the power play 2:56 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lambeth. Lambeth had gained a power play chance when Jake Alkins was whistled for tripping. Mike Golinowski provided the assist. The Lancers stifled North Middlesex's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambeth's offense rang up 65 shots on the Stars' net. Lambeth also got points from Tanner Smith, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Lambeth also had goals scored by Warren Hargraves, who had two and Carter Allen and Justin Clark, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lambeth came via Nick West, who had two, Kale Corbeth, who had three, and Ryan Pennington, Mitch Furlonger, and Greg Douglas, who contributed one a piece. North Middlesex struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Lancers to score three power play goals on four chances. JP Trudell rejected 20 shots on goal for Lambeth. The Lancers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alex Foster recorded 58 saves for the Stars. North Middlesex incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
