The Lucan Irish tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the Port Stanley Sailors held on for a 7-5 victory.

Port Stanley made the score 7-3 on a goal by Josh Tremblay at 7:32 in the third period, and Lucan got as close as 7-5 when Keiron Cobban scored 17:12 into the third period.

The win moved the Sailors to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.

Port Stanley's offense rang up 52 shots on the Irish's net. The Sailors capitalized on Lucan's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage.

Port Stanley additionally got points from Derek Finlay, who also registered one goal and one assist. Port Stanley also had goals scored by Luke McGuire, who had one and Ryan McDonnell, who had two.
