Colin Nancekivell gave the Lucan Irish a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Port Stanley Sailors when he scored 1:01 into the extra period. The win gave Lucan a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Port Stanley could not complete its climb out of a three-goal hole. The Irish made it 4-1 on a goal by Dylan Moss at 6:10 in the second period. The Sailors pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Tyler Beaulieu at 3:53 in the third period. Lucan kept Port Stanley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Garner made 43 saves on 48 shots. The Irish were led by Ben Lawton, who grabbed three goals. In addition, Lucan received assists from Colin Hartwick, who had three and Jake Currie, Mitch Smith, and Matt Curtis, who contributed one a piece. Lucan was unable to stop the Sailors from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Stanley eventually piled up 48 shots on goal. Port Stanley also got a goal from Tanner Turley as well. More assists for Port Stanley came via Luke McGuire, who had three and Ryan McDonnell, Zak Jukna, Drew Eaton, and Mark Brisson, who each chipped in one. Dylan Hoover made 44 saves for the Irish on 48 shots. Lucan incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Sailors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
