The Wellesley Applejacks' Devon Wagner scored 56 seconds into overtime to beat the Delhi Travellers, 4-3 (OT). After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Delhi faces elimination next time out. Wellesley overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Applejacks trailed 2-0 after a goal by the Travellers' Travis Harper at 4:46 in the second period. Wellesley tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Cody Tapsell at 11:57 in the third period. Delhi's power play was ineffective against the Applejacks' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Wellesley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Delhi power plays. The Travellers were unable to stop the Applejacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Wellesley eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Wellesley also got points from Troy Williams, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wellesley also got a goal from Luke Rose as well. In addition, Wellesley received assists from Jake Ariss, Corey Way, Justin Lebold, and Tyler Eckert, who contributed one a piece. Delhi excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Travellers forced the Applejacks goalie Josh Heer to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Delhi was helped by Derek Friesen, who grabbed one goal. Friesen scored 8:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Delhi. Jared Ebdon also scored for Delhi. More assists for Delhi came via Jamie Newell, who had one. Wellesley's Heer stopped 32 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Applejacks incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nick Heath rejected 39 shots on goal for the Travellers. Delhi ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. For the Travellers, Newell was ejected from the game.
