Northland Pines' Offerdahl deadly on offense in 5-2 win against New Ulm

Behind a great game by Leif Offerdahl, who had two goals, Northland Pines defeated the New Ulm Eagles, 5-2.

Offerdahl found the back of the net short handed 2:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Northland Pines and again while 7:14 into the first to make the score 2-0 Northland Pines.

Northland Pines' offense rang up 36 shots on New Ulm's net.

Northland Pines additionally got points from Dylan Weber, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Austin Ramesh also scored for Northland Pines. More assists for Northland Pines came via Zachary Kennedy and Alex Kornely, who each chipped in one.

The Eagles were helped by Brach Kraus, who racked up one goal. Kraus scored 37 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 Northland Pines. Wyatt Peterson picked up the assist. New Ulm also got a goal from Blake Neumann as well. In addition, New Ulm received assists from Brandon Helget, who had one.

Douglas Carson recorded 15 saves for Northland Pines. Northland Pines ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Brach Kraus made 31 saves for New Ulm on 36 shots. The Eagles avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
